Founded in 1996, Amrhein Associates, Inc. has continued to provide geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering and geologic services. Amrhein Associates, Inc. is located in Ashland, Oregon. The majority of our work consists of conducting site soil and rock investigations and providing recommendations for site development and the design and construction of building foundations. We work on residential, commercial and light industrial facilities. We also conduct slope stability evaluations for the residential properties to meet hillside or steep slope report requirements of City and County building and planning departments. AAI believes in providing practical and cost effective solutions for a wide range of site conditions and projects. We believe in working cooperatively as part of a design team to develop creative solutions using architecture, structural design and landscaping to achieve the desired use and look of the project on the site. Our technical and construction experience allows us to anticipate construction difficulties and provide direction to the contractor during construction. We offer construction observation services including soil density testing and have a soils laboratory to conduct a wide range of soil testing. We have experience in construction practices in a wide variety of geologic conditions including granitic soils, expansive clays, alluvial soils and bedrock formations found throughout southern Oregon. We also offer environmental engineering services for surface
water quality and monitoring and the development, implementation and monitoring of
erosion control plans for NPDES permits. AAI also provides expertise in the design,
permitting and operation of solid waste disposal facilities, including landfills,
transfer stations and composting facilities.
